(kunst! at the disco) an installation with works by maansi jain graciously hosted by tennis bar in their intrntexpirr themed gallery space the disco as a metaphor for berlin's many coexisting landscapes, sceneries, and even circle jerks! as the figurative ven diagrams lattice through berlin's geographies students of life and professors too gather in site specific locations to create, destroy and reimagine whatever may be within arms length as they dance with one another. maansi jain is an artist working from within this realm and these are marks made from various sojourns through overlapping social fields. more simply, these works were made from 2014-2022 and include drawings, photographs and sculpture from this time in the artist's life in berlin. presented at tennis bar, a gracious host to artists, friends and partygoers alike, the show appears like a browser tab or 17 inside the intrntexplrr themed gallery space, nodding at past selves in a Didionesque ode to magical thinking and herstory all at once.
