Description
The term Kalos kagathos, from which the noun kalokagathia is derived, describes an ideal of personal conduct based on the practice of the virtues that the Greeks considered the most important, among them beauty (kalos), equivalent to courage, nobility, goodness and inner beauty and its equivalent in the exterior. But it is important to consider that for the ancient Greeks, virtue and its fruit, beauty, could only be attained through the acquisition of knowledge.
