‘The Lady in Gold Among the Almond Blossoms’ constitutes a diptych made from the interfusion of two artworks by classic, canonic painters. Christian Bök has found a pair of jigsaw puzzles that depict masterpieces, both published by manufacturers who have used the same die cut for punching and stamping these pictures. He has then solved the two puzzles, interbraiding their elements into two new images that represent abstractions derived from the original artworks.
