Katerina's tiny feet barely touched the floor as she pirouetted across the worn wood of her grandmother's attic. Her tutu, a hand-me-down from her aunt, swirled around her like a cloud of pink tulle.  The attic, filled with forgotten treasures and dusty memories, was her stage.

Every day, Katerina would dance among the old trunks and forgotten toys, her tiny ballerina heart filled with dreams of grand stages and swirling lights.  Her grandmother, with her silver hair and kind eyes, would watch from the doorway, her own heart swelling with pride.

One day, Katerina's grandmother surprised her with a ticket to a real ballet.  Katerina, eyes wide with wonder, sat mesmerized as the graceful ballerinas floated across the stage.
