In this collection I created a series of looks by exaggerating traditional silhouettes into new forms, using gold as a running theme to establish power and permanence.

This look was inspired by a popular technique in garment construction called shirring. This method involves sewing rolls of elastics into the garment to create a beautifully tactile texture that hugs the body. The dress also features a gathered skirt and bodice to elavate parts of the form.
