Description
Gardens of Tomorrow presents a picture of how our gardens may change over the remainder of the century with the changes to our climate.
In 2022 you can see a beautiful, lush garden, overflowing with plants and flowers.
As the decades progress, the rich colours fade, the flowers diminish, the soil lightens and you reach 2099 - a harsh, dusty landscape with little colour, the soil turned to dust, and a yellow haze in the sky.
Each piece records the year it represents - an immutable record of what may await us in the future.
As the years change, so do:
- the grass colour
- foliage density
- the harshness of the plants
- the abundance of flowers
- the variety of colour
- the richness of the soil
- the sky colour and level of haze
