Gajan is a Hindu festival celebrated mostly in the Indian state of West Bengal. It's a festival of the village folk and is associated with deities such as Shiva, Neel, and Dharmaraj. People of any gender can participate, and the main theme of this festival is deriving satisfaction through non-sexual pain, devotion, and sacrifice.
