As part of their genesis series, Alexis Hunley and Annabelle Freedman are excited to present their latest collaboration "Flaw of Attraction."

This project is an amalgamation of the selves that Annabelle Freedman (pictured) is enamored by in conceptual collaboration with photographer Alexis Hunley. It’s an embodiment of the spectrum of gender performances of their many crushes. Sebastian, Kai, Riley, Brynn and Beatrice are composite beings crafted from a compilation of loves known and imagined. These figures animate the range of their attraction to others as well as the versions of self they love while taking up space in a realm beyond imaginary barriers and ignorance in the face of expansive every-ness.

The video is looped with Annabelle’s song, Rainbow, highlighting how the profitization of queerness without authentic support for queer people is exploitative. For the moments that performing gender has been a heavy burden, let us build worlds where it can be a tantalizing pleasure.
