"Study for the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari"

This work was produced after a new version of the code of the long-form generative project "Chiaroscuro" (https://fxhash.xyz/generative/slug/chiaroscuro), where transparencies and reverberations of micro-textures create an overlapping monochrome stained-glass feeling. The present version seeks more depth and focuses on the aleatory composition, where (as in my hand drawing practice) perspective is deliberately mistreated and the accumulation of tiny details enforces textures and shapes. At some point of the process, it seemed to me the most of the outputs have gained balance and rhythm, showing irrational spaces, hollow dimensions. Eventually, it clearly appeared that, through my eyes, the machine was "painting" echo-landscapes of the old cinematographic expressionist dream.
