Women are expected to look and behave a certain way: Plump lips, perfect makeup, stunning eyes.

Too often those lips are plumped in a different way. Bruised and busted, faces bruised, bones broken. This view reflects the internal feelings as they don't heal as cleaning or quickly as the external injuries.

Art can reveal beauty but also needs to show the truth and reflect reality.
