'emotional squares' is part of my continuous exploration of the spontaneity of abstract generated gestural pixelized forms. Colors are selected from a set of pigment acrylic masstones and tints, a subset of the RGB screen colors, making it safe for paper laser printing, partially ensuring that the laser printed colors remains faithful to the screen original. With NFT we usually forget the importance of displaying art work on passive mediums such as paper, and the relevance of reflected light on memory, and the degradation of colors and physical materials, an aesthetically and physical conviviality that only the passing time can offer.

I've always been captivated by the abstract expressionism movement, its gestures, spontaneity, controlled irrationality, creative liberty, and innate gestural motion. In these pieces brush strokes have been replaced by pixels and gestural motion lines by a superposition, multi-scale pixelization algorithm on seeded original photographs.
