This NFT is based on the largest oil painting in my solo exhibition DEATH AND TAXES at Galerie Youn, Montreal in June 2023. In the show, I explore darker narratives around impermanence, inevitability, and mortality. I combine the 17th-century Dutch Golden Age aesthetic and symbolism with my hyperchromatic color palette developed to accomadate my colorblindness.
