The Parent's knew of the stories. Those families who forgot to lock their windows, only to awaken in horror to find their children's bodies on the ground below.

They knew of the being the children referred to only as "Pan". A creature with teen like stature, with the ability to float, and hypnotic voice to lure sleeping children upon their window's ledges.

Those who survived or parent's were smart enough to remember to lock the windows, recall the promises of eternal youth and childhood wonder spoken by the creature. It's words weaved and glided on top of the air and through the cracks of the windows.
