Contact Field I — Threshold of Touch is the first work from Philippe Ceulemans’ Contact Fields series.
A slow-turning hand appears inside a suspended cyan field, surrounded by fine flow-line traces that behave like signal, breath, static and memory. The hand is not shown as a literal body fragment, but as an antenna of contact: reaching, receiving, resisting and dissolving into digital matter.
The work explores touch as threshold — between body and signal, presence and disappearance, physical gesture and coded space.
Created through a handcoded artistic process. No AI-generated imagery was used.
