An ode to art in the physical world. In painting and printing we only create the illusion of color—as light passes through various layers of paint or ink our brain perceives color via the reflection of light from a particular region of the color spectrum.

The most common system used in the physical world is a subtractive one. The core colors are cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK).

We take a closer look at these principal colors in isolation and find beauty in color minimalism.
