Description

Within the emotionally turbulent year of 2022 and amidst the delicate dance of love and uncertainty, an exploration of the heart took shape. During restless nights, the artist sought solace within AI technology, allowing her thoughts and emotions to manifest as images that echoed the dichotomy within her.

At the core lies a haunting image: a heart interwoven with chains and padlocks. This emblematic portrayal weaves together the contrasting roles of these objects and symbolizes the paradoxical nature of relationships.

The chains and padlocks, once symbols of protection and preservation of companionship and the once cherished love, now take on an unexpected role. They become instruments of captivity, forging a prison around the heart, sealing its desires and confining its true essence.

Within this intertwining of roles, joy, companionship, and love become entangled with doubt, fear, anxiety, and depression, casting shadows upon the once serene landscape and affection. The marriage of metal and flesh invokes a reflection on our choices to protect ourselves and those we love. Is it an act of preservation or a self-inflicted restraint?

"Chained Heart" invites us to delve into the depths of our emotional landscapes and to reflect upon our relationships, probing the boundaries between protection and captivity and ultimately confronting the question: How do we know if we are safeguarding our heart or keeping it hostage?
