An artwork for Genuary 2025 day 15, prompt: "Design a rug"

A digital rug generator using 1D cellular automata to allows weaving of nearly endless pattern variations. The cellular automata is based on 3, 5 or 7 neighboring cells.

The color palettes are generated randomly which makes it your responsibly to find a pleasing set of colors that complements the pattern.

Sliders 1 - pattern 2 - colors 3 - column count 4 - row count 5 - hair length

Note: growing the hair might take a while so be patient when tuning the fifth (5) slider.
