The short video series BREATHLESS is about the deformation of the human body under the impact of technical influences. The representation of a mask in the faces of the protagonists shown here is not accidental, because in reality the so life-saving mouth guard in the pandemic also further split us off from the nature around us. This split and the associated general technical influence in our reality is both protection and separation at the same time.

As filmmaker David Croneberg aptly formulates, "There are only one or two facts about life

• one is death, another is life. In between we have to invent and produce everything ourselves. The responsibility for this is entirely our own - no one takes it from us. There are no rules, except those that we invent ourselves. This is terrifying and exciting at the same time."
