The upper part of the diptych was created from the series "Bones of the lost river", made in August 2019 on the river Zrmanja . Every summer, the river lost water due to a severe drought, and photographs record its dry rocky soil - its "bones". At the international contest The third element – water, 2019 (Rijeka, Croatia) this series received an honourable mention.

The second part of the diptych is a series of self-portraits created in June 2023 on the same river.

I combined the two series into a story that represents the contrast between the dry river bottom and the clear water on which depends the life of all living beings , it speaks about natural cycles and eternal changes, about our connection with nature, that is, it represents the idea that human is not only a part of nature, but is nature itself.
