My body of work attempts to capture the honesty, vulnerability, and raw beauty of moments that emerge when individuals enter a state of ‘otherness’ that we often overlook. It aims to incite answers to the questions that the subjects’ expressions and demeanour pose, and by doing so, invites the viewer to step into a state of otherness as well.

In this series “Between Places” I explore the furtive nature of the geiko/geisha/maiko.
