Kastanienallee is one of Berlin's most pleasant, colorful, and vibrant promenades. The neighborhood is characterized by numerous restaurants of all kinds, many small shops, and boutiques. It's as well a place to see and be seen. This has earned Kastanienallee the nickname "Castingallee" (Casting Avenue).
