I'm proud to be who I am, I’m proud to be part of such a rich and diverse culture. Out here making it despite the odds that I had growing up in the world. Being black is about resilience, innovation, creativity, and excellence in the face of struggle. It means to be proud, creative, deep rooted, rich culture and very intelligent. To me being of African descent means that I have a strong connection with a powerful history. There is no way I would choose to be anything other than Black. We walk with the weight of racial inequality, and still we rise.
