I was inspired by "Maryam Mirzakhani", the famous Iranian mathematician, for this painting.
About "Baanoo": "Baanoo" is a Persian word that means "Lady". This collection of my paintings is a tribute to Iranian ladies who inspired their generation and later generations to change their visions and use their abilities. In "Baanoo", I emphasized the eyes -as windows to the soul- and tried to use colours and texture to express the effect of these ladies' insights and presence on the world around them. I didn't use specific photos to paint them and just painted my perception of their faces. Maybe you recognize some of them or not, but my purpose is to understand and glory the messages of their efforts.
