'P1nk Sun' is the first piece in the ongoing 'b3nding' series — an exploration of visual aberrations through unedited images and GIFs created directly on hardware. Using a 720p/VGA camera modified via circuit bending, I provoke spontaneous, raw glitches.
The pinkish sky appeared partly by accident — a natural sunset tint blending with the camera’s distorted signal. I like how the cuts fall only on my silhouette, as if the hardware itself decided what to reveal and what to erase.
This process involves intentionally causing short circuits to produce visual or sound distortions. For b3nding, I opened the camera and bridged random pins between the lens ribbon and the motherboard. The result is unpredictable — a visual lottery where chaos becomes composition.
