她寄出許多布片給美國她所推崇的當時最重要的人物，請他們在布片上簽名後寄回來，再融合不同的布料，她蒐集到了三百六十片簽名布片，其中包含八位美國總統的簽名，並且把類型相近的名人繡在附近。這作品提供了一個視角，看到了十九世紀中期一位受過教育的年輕女性看待自己世界的方式。 She sent many pieces of cloth to the most important figures of her time in America, asking them to sign them and send them back, then blending them with different fabrics, she collected 360 signatures, including the signatures of eight American presidents. This work provides a perspective on the way an educated young woman saw her world in the mid-nineteenth century.
