Each graffiti style element within this series represents an aspect of the artists life. It’s not random graffiti, it all has meaning and significance within the context of each piece. The title of each artwork is a quote by the artist.

Nina Hagen aka The Godmother of Punk. Born 1955 in East Berlin is a German singer/actress known for her theatrical vocals and rise to prominence during the punk and new wave movements in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Along with her vocal abandon, she famously experimented with her on-stage look, rarely shying away from looking outlandish, eccentric, or even downright creepy before audiences in Germany and beyond. As the queen of personal reinvention, she has left lasting marks on music, and fashion.
