This image is an expression of my artistic vision. It is a composite of two photographs I shot on separate days. The tornado was descending rapidly near Centerville, South Dakota in 2003. I photographed the woman in 2013. Together they make the perfect pair.

Collection Description: Art of The Storm

The sky is a blank canvas for the most powerful art of Mother Nature. Storms are majestic and beautiful while also ominous and destructive. They are the ultimate representation of the Yin & Yang, the balance between light & dark. We can never tame Mother Nature, we can only bear witness to her strength and her beauty.
