Description

Animated glitch art by the artist AKA Katie. A second look at Hermit Housing Crisis- Human Debris. Our oceans are in crisis, hermit crabs using trash in lieu of shells coral reef dying, whales filled with trash and turtles stuffed with straws. This is just the tip of the iceberg of problems we have created in our environment. But do not beat yourself up, there are solutions! If we can, as a species, set aside our differences. Lay down our arms, and redirect our attention to stewardship of our habitat we can save ourselves from the extinction we have unwittingly designed for ourselves and look forward to a long future on a flourishing planet earth. As individuals we are burdened with the guilt of responsibility for the problems which plague our world, these messages come directly from those who are directly actually responsible and benefit from these issues which threaten our survival. Let us hold the organizations which profit most from the destruction of our home accountable. If their toxic messages have gotten to you, convincing you that it is your decisions which have led to this crisis. Ask yourself if you were ever given an option and what impact you would really have were you to as an individual change your habits. Then ask yourself what that impact would look like if just one of these companies were to make those same changes. The solution is clear. Join me in demanding that activism be properly directed, if you cannot do it for yourself then do it for the hermit crabs living in trash. Proceeds from sales will be donated to Oceana a non-profit dedicated to protecting the worlds oceans.
