Arrival is a collection of fifty photographs by multidisciplinary artist Barry Sutton, selected from more than twenty years of photographing clouds from the ground and from the air.

The project draws on Charles Baudelaire's 1857 poem Correspondances and its idea that the natural world contains hidden relationships waiting to be perceived. Throughout Arrival, visual, atmospheric, emotional, and geographical affinities connect photographs across time and place.

The work considers impermanence, scale, and our relationship to the atmosphere surrounding us: clouds that dwarf us, delight us, and sometimes frighten us, contained within a thin layer around one small planet in an incomprehensibly large universe.

Each photograph in Arrival is released as a unique 1/1 work.
