I always viewed fashion to be about self-expression and identity, about combining personal history and heritage with a larger cultural context. But above all, fashion can be an art form in itself.
With AI, we can take fashion design to incredible new and unexpected places, not limited by the materiality of what exists.
The theme Wearable Architecture allows for an investigation on the play between forms, materials and the body. My designs are sculptural and organic, each with its own particular dynamics.
The three pieces I developed for Wearable Architecture are influenced by Afrofuturism and continue my speculations about the future of fashion, initiated with my first AI fashion collection, ЩΛKΣ ЦP.
AIFW is a new fashion-based community event organized by @FAICmag. This event brings together a community of talented creators who are pushing the boundaries of fashion by using AI technology to create bespoke themed pieces inspired by six distinct themes: Wearable Architecture, Plastic Playground, Acid Dystopia, Candyland, Not from here, and Gaia. Each theme will be interpreted by different artists through the lens of AI text-to-image generation, offering a new perspective on the intersection of fashion and technology.
