Acid Crystals is an algorithm that generates psychedelic gemstones. It models a randomly generated crystal structure in 3D that reflects faceted images of a natural scene to the viewer. Each scene is described by the ‘Zone’ feature. Huge thanks to Greg Zaal for releasing these amazing equirectangular photos using the CC0 license on Poly Haven! The ‘Density’ and ‘Temperature’ features drive the crystal geometry generation and background color selection respectively.

If you look at individual LSD-25 crystals under a sufficiently powerful microscope while high on the exact same batch of acid, you’ll see something very much like this.
