Description

Artist: Bruno Pavić

Bruno Pavić was born on March 30, 1988 in Zagreb, Croatia. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Split at the Film and Video Department, and afterwards took his master's degree on the same Academy – at the Department of Film, Media Arts and Animation. He works in fiction and documentary films, as well as in video art. His short and feature films were screened at international film festivals. With his experimental films and video installations he participates in domestic and international group exhibitions and video art festivals.

The exhibition of video works "Society" reflects the author's own focus on certain social phenomena and human behavior. The presented works were created as a result of criticism, observation and observations in everyday life. Although the concept continues through the production of new works, the presented works "The Message" and "Flakes of snow" and thematize: the reverse side of global politics that does not promise the world a bright future, observing the phenomenon of the human community not finding its way within the newly created circumstances, and observing people's behavior in the context of diluting spiritual values, i.e. changing them with a spectacle.

This work was exhibited in the 2023 mowna Biennial, from May 1 through September 22, 2023 at mowna.org. 70% of the sale will pay the artist for their work, with the remaining 30% funding the museum.
