Description
These photographs were made from found film negatives and show a series of flower arrangements taken in a studio; somewhere near Saumur, France, in 1896. These few, old, found film negatives, according to an accompanying family heirloom, have an unbroken provenance chain that can account for the date of creation. They've been re-exposed, printed, and enhanced with a modernized coloration of existing pigmentations of golds, and florals. The amount of wealth involved in their staging—remains surreal.
