Description

She is flawless. Grade A. Tender in appearance, perfectly portioned, and vacuum-sealed. But look closer.

"Prime Cut" is a visceral exploration of commodification, examining how society packages human beauty into a product - measured, priced, consumed. Her gaze escapes the frame, both defiant and distant, as if aware of the transactional gaze cast upon her.

The plastic wrap that clings to her skin is not just packaging - it’s a metaphor for the suffocating constraints of objectification. Her value is predetermined, printed, and stickered. Her body, though alive with softness and soul, is frozen in an unsettling blend of vulnerability and display.

In this work, the female form is treated as a consumable asset - labeled “100% Organic,” as though her humanity is a commodity, her uniqueness reduced to market language. The barcode is not just a detail - it is her cage.

The lighting evokes a cold commercial spotlight, illuminating not her spirit, but her sellability. There is no warmth here, only the sterile chill of mass production and glossy perfection. Her identity, swallowed by the illusion of ideal presentation, remains hauntingly intact - eyes still seeking, still seeing.

"Prime Cut" asks: When we reward perfection with consumption, what is left of the person beneath the plastic? What happens to authenticity when it is processed, priced, and placed on display?

This piece, part of the 100% Organic series, stands as a critique of consumerist beauty standards, the male gaze, and the emotional cost of being seen but not known. It invites viewers to question their own participation in a culture where worth is measured by how well we fit the mold - even if it means being packaged like meat.

Let the beauty disturb you. Let the perfection rot in the light. This isn’t just art - it’s what’s left after the price tag is applied.
