augurusto, known as zofi au gore, is a Brazilian artist working with GIFs and HTML-based interactive pieces rooted in pixel art and glitch aesthetics. Her practice uses front-end and game development techniques to build browser-native, animated works that treat low resolution, noise, and system errors as expressive material.
She began making art online as a child, running an amateur comic blog around 2011 and sharing hand-drawn banners with other young bloggers before the scene moved first to MSN and then to Facebook. For some years afterward she mostly stopped drawing outside of game development projects with friends. She returned to illustration after a partner reconnected her with that art scene, and was drawn into NFTs when the partner's friends began making money from them. She began minting on Tezos and has continued since. Her work draws on early indie and RPG Maker-era games, including Yume Nikki, its fan games, and OFF, which she names as major influences that drew her into game development roughly a decade ago.
She joined the first cohort of the objkt labs Residency, a mentorship program that paired artists with critical dialogue on how their work is framed and circulated within digital culture. For the residency's closing group release, “Training Data and Other Heartbreaks: Signals Between Us”, curated by Anika Meier, she released Sorry I Corrupted Your SD Card That Day on objkt.com on February 3, 2026, alongside Tan-Tan's The Emotional Engine Project.Presented by The Second-Guess and objkt labs as a five-work exhibition, the release was described as reflecting “the emotional impact of digital loss and how the decay of raw memory continues to haunt one's mental landscape”. By February 5, 2026, it had generated 341 XTZ in sales.The title recalls an incident where a hacked Nintendo DS console's anti-piracy trap accidentally corrupted a friend's SD card and its saved games, a mishap she says was never fully resolved between them.
