VOICEGEMS, also known as VOICE GEMS, is a generative art project created by Harry Yeff, also known as Reeps100, and Trung Bao, that transforms recorded human voices into digital gemstone sculptures.,Each piece is generated from a 200,000-particle system built around fingerprint-like features found in the human voice, and the works exist as NFTs, prints, 3D prints, digital video, large-scale projection, and cast sculpture.,
Yeff, a London-born artist and technologist, began as an internationally recognized beatboxer before spending over fifteen years developing voice-driven technology art.,His work has been exhibited at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, Tate Britain, Art Basel Miami, and Davos, and he has completed three artist residencies at Harvard University and joined the Experiments in Art and Technology program at Bell Labs.
For "HERBERT W. FRANKE – Pioneer of Digital Art" at Gerber & Stauffer Fine Arts in Zurich in 2021, Yeff and Trung Bao created Astropoeticon Voice Gems, digital transformations of Herbert W. Franke's cybernetic poems into three-dimensional, encrypted sound sculptures.VOICE GEMS work has since been shown alongside Aaron Huey, Sofia Crespo, and Entangled Others in “Edges of the Metaverse” at The Circle, Zurich, presented by Kate Vass Galerie and elementum.art in 2022.,,The project's largest showcase, “VOICE GEMS: 1000 Year Archive”, opened at W1 Curates in London and drew more than 10,000 visitors in its early weeks, featuring voices from Jane Goodall, Ai Weiwei, and Felipe Pantone alongside institutional contributions from the World Economic Forum, Koenig Gallery, the Francisco Carolinum Linz, and the Berggruen Institute.
