Victoria West is a portrait photographer and digital artist based in New Brunswick, Canada, who brings a painterly aesthetic to fine art photography and photographic composites, working through composition, lighting, post-production editing and AI-assisted techniques.,Her practice draws on activism and storytelling, built over more than a decade running her own portrait studio, and extends into NFT releases of her photographic and digital work.,

Original Sinner, from 2018, began a series of painterly male nude images and entered the Professional Photographers of Canada's 2018 Prestigious Loan Collection.Michael, a photographic composite depicting the archangel Michael escaping capture, followed in 2019, as did The Reader, which reflects on how denying women literacy and education has been used to limit their independence.,Until We Meet Again was created after West lost her mother to cancer in December 2019, reflecting on death as part of the human experience.Matriarchy, depicting three generations of women caring for and supporting each other, won a Silver Award in the WPE International Photography Awards in 2021.Two tribute images commemorating the August 2020 Beirut port explosion, created shortly afterward with a Lebanese belly dancer, were released as NFTs in August 2021, with 25 percent of proceeds supporting a charity for crisis-affected children in Lebanon.She also contributed to Poetics, a multi-artist audio/visual NFT collection narrated by Laurence Fueller, in which visual and audio artists produced graphics and sound for each piece.
