Taís Koshino (Japanese-Brazilian, b. 1992) is a visual artist working in drawing, painting, video, and digital and physical installations.In 2021 she was part of the founding team of Hic et Nunc, the NFT platform on Tezos, and co-founded the collective DiverseNFTArt with Amelie Maia.
She joined the Hic et Nunc team in February 2021 after her brother introduced her to its creator, Rafael Lima, and minted her first NFT when the platform launched on Tezos on March 1, 2021. With Maia, she organized “OBJKT4OBJKT”, a free minting event that used a hashtag system on Twitter and helped the Brazilian NFT community grow quickly.She has been recognized as one of Tezos's early NFT pioneers, alongside Mario Klingemann and Joanie Lemercier, for showing that NFTs minted on Tezos's proof-of-stake chain were not inferior to those on proof-of-work blockchains.Hic et Nunc was discontinued by Lima in November 2021 while she was away painting murals in the Brazilian countryside.
Her poetic investigation extends to the space between binaries and the perception of impermanence. She holds a bachelor's degree in Social Communication with a focus on Audiovisual (2015) and a master's degree in Visual Arts (2022), both from the University of Brasília.In 2022 she made Late Summer Days for “FEMGEN”, a gender-equity exhibition organized as a collaboration between Right Click Save, VerticalCrypto Art, and Art Blocks at Art Basel Miami.,She also participated in “Human+Machines” at Art Basel Miami in 2021 and the “Digital Art Biennial” at Oi Futuro in Rio de Janeiro in 2022.
