Eziraros is a generative artist who creates generative drawings and animations in p5.js, depicting tangible, everyday objects to explore his observations on social issues.Based in Taipei, Taiwan, and also credited under his given name 劉乃廷, he spent over a decade as a web designer and front-end developer before turning to generative art in 2022.
He previously worked across the pet supplies, music software and online bookstore industries, and contributed to the campaign website for Taiwanese president Tsai Ing-wen. Since 2022 he has released his generative work mainly through the platform fxhash, building his drawings frame by frame. His piece the generative octopuses was featured in the TENDER ICONS collection, and its release led to an invitation to join the collective Volume DAO. With Volume DAO, he co-curated “Generative Taipei On-Site” in 2023, Taiwan's first generative art exhibition to enter a museum.
In April 2023 he released Turtle Vision, a generative series depicting jellyfish intermixed with plastic litter to evoke a sea turtle's view of a polluted ocean. The project was made in collaboration with American ocean conservation activist Casson Trenor, with proceeds supporting the nonprofit The 5 Gyres Institute. Eziraros and Trenor released it on the platform fx(hash) on the Tezos network, citing the chain's low energy use as in keeping with the project's environmental aims. He has said he has “enjoyed looking at the sea since childhood” growing up in Taiwan.
In September 2024 he took part in the online exhibition “NILDOROR—They Were No Longer Animals” at blueshift.gallery, again alongside Casson Trenor.
