Remilia Corporation is a digital collective founded in 2021 by Charlotte Fang that describes itself, among other things, as an institution, a lifestyle brand, and an artist's colony.Its flagship project, Milady Maker, launched in August 2021 through the artwork of Henry Sprite and the performative online persona of Fang, generating a PFP collection built around a distinct ideology and a devoted community.
In spring 2022, Twitter users linked Fang to a set of anonymous accounts with a history of racist, antisemitic, pro-anorexia, and pro-suicide posts. Fang described the accounts as part of a “performative identity”, but key investors and collectors left the collective and the community of artists gathered around Remilia fractured.
Milady is considered a foundational project in the lineage of what became known as Avant, or 'Gay,' NFTs, an international movement of aesthetically self-aware digital and performance artists, painters, and writers who treat online persona as medium. The collective also released Bonkler, 2023, and helped shape the aesthetics of the wider Avant NFT scene as later projects such as Mifella emerged in direct response to Milady.
Remilia has described its outlook as “network spirituality”, a “futurist embrace of experiential hyperreality found in the web's accelerated networks” achieved through what it calls transcendentally posting, performing identity, and embedding spiritual and moral values into memes.,In 2024 Remilia also released the first issue of Remilia Quarterly, a publication it called a literary magazine and critical journal for the New Net Art.
In June 2024 Remilia raised $20 million in a pre-sale for a memecoin called CULT, which launched on Ethereum that December and briefly reached a market capitalization of nearly $500 million.In 2025 Remilia began building a social network around the Milady community, launching RemiliaNET as an identity layer that tracks members' achievements on a public leaderboard, ahead of a planned platform called RemiliaChat.
