Andrés Reisinger (Argentinian, b. 1990) is a digital artist and designer whose work dissolves the boundary between virtual and physical objects, turning digital renders into built furniture and large-scale installations.,He founded Six N Five with Ezequiel Pini in Buenos Aires in 2014 before opening his own studio, Reisinger Studio, in Barcelona in 2018.
Reisinger studied classical music at the Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Música in Buenos Aires before training in graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires' Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism. He began his career in 2011 as an art director at the Buenos Aires animation studio Plenty.He credits his musical training's discipline and structure as a lasting influence on his creative process.
In 2018, Reisinger designed Hortensia Chair, a virtual armchair covered in pink hydrangea petals.Posted to Instagram, the render went viral.,In 2021, the Dutch furniture company Moooi produced it as a physical chair, which later entered the collection of the Vitra Design Museum.,In February 2021, he offered ten virtual furniture designs in an online auction called The Shipping on Nifty Gateway, selling all ten within minutes for more than $450,000. Later that year, he collaborated with musician RAC and poet Arch Hades on Arcadia, an NFT short film that sold at Christie's for nearly half a million dollars.
Since January 2023, his Take Over series has wrapped landmark buildings in cities including Rome, London, Paris and Tokyo in pink drapes, first as digital images and later as physical installations in Miami, Jeddah, Madrid and New York.He has also collaborated commercially with brands including Audi, Dior, Gucci and Microsoft, and in 2019 and 2022 was listed in Architectural Digest's AD100.,
