Ravi Koranga is an illustrator and graffiti artist based in New Delhi, India. Activism and social politics are at the heart of Koranga’s work, which explores topics such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in Iran through a vibrant, whimsical illustration style. Koranga’s illustrated series View From a Tiny Deep-Sea Diver was praised by Yes Magazine as a form of visual protest against the destruction caused by plastics. Told through the eyes of a deep-sea diver, this series takes viewers on a journey through the depths of the ocean, revealing, through dark inking and heavy, maniacal hatching, the havoc plastic is reaping on its ecosystem. By providing a playful, approachable commentary of serious moments of modern history, Koranga hopes to amplify the voices of the unheard. He uses art as a tool to bring awareness to critical issues across the globe, promoting human introspection with story and calling for change through color and line. Koranga’s artworks line the walls and streets of India, a result of his participation in numerous community beautification initiatives. His visual protests have been praised by Demotivateur, Vice, Times of India, Hindustan Times, Indian Express, and Design You Trust. His art can be found inked on the bodies of over 50 fans around the world. Koranga was handpicked by WazirX to be one of the first creators spotlighted on India’s first NFT platform. His work has been exhibited at NFT Beijing, NFT.NYC, NFT Bali and in an exhibition curated by Breezy Art at NFT Paris.
