Pablo Alpe is a Spanish coder and interactive designer from Valencia who creates code-based generative art and immersive installations. His work draws on nature, physics, and mathematics, simulating natural phenomena so that simple rules evolve into organic, real-time pieces.,He trained as an electronics engineer and worked in industry for several years before turning to art and technology full time.
In 2014 he founded Vitamin Studio with Javier Mujica, a friend and fellow artist, and the studio has since built interactive and immersive installations worldwide.,In 2022 Vitamin Studio designed the interactive visuals for CircOpera 2.0, a production for the Finnish National Opera that blended circus, opera, and technology.Alpe began investing in crypto in 2020, and the generative artist Ix Shells introduced him to NFTs on Ethereum before the artist Josef Luis Pelz brought him into the Hic et Nunc community in August 2021. He cites Joanie Lemercier, whose work he has followed since AntiVJ, along with Thomas Lin Pedersen and Matt DesLauriers, as influences on his practice.
His second collection on fxhash, A B I S M O, presents abstract three-dimensional objects hovering in a grey, gridded space with accents of colorful cubes, described in its text as a “bottomless void in space”.His series Postales, shown as part of the exhibition “Odysseys”, moved from his earlier black-and-white generative work into color, and explores memories tied to light. In January 2022 he became lead of the Interactivity Design module in the International Master in Multimedia Creation for Performing Arts and Live Shows, run by LABA Valencia with La Fura dels Baus's Epica Foundation.,
