Mr. Monk: About

Bio

Mr. Monk is a Mexican artist who has shown work on the platform KnownOrigin. He exhibited at Decentraland's Genesis City cultural festival in June 2020, where showcases from him and other artists including Cryptopop and Hackatao were singled out as especially popular.

Mr. Monk has described NFTs as central to his survival of the pandemic, saying “NFTs allowed me to survive the pandemic, not only economically, but because of the social interaction.” He has also said “NFTs are the one practical use case that helps attract more eyeballs to crypto, beyond trading coins.” In 2020 he created the work TRUST.

In 2020 he collaborated with the artist Shortcut on Luchampions, a collection released on Mintbase that included the piece Mezcalito.
