Mohammadhassan Asnaei, known professionally as Mo Asnaei (Iranian, b. 1988), is a CG/VFX supervisor and visual director working across commercial cinematic CGI, generative digital art, and independent filmmaking.,He translates briefs and abstract concepts into cinematic image direction for luxury-product films and branded campaigns, while also releasing generative NFT collections and directing short films exploring artificial intelligence, creation, and control.,,
He trained at the University of Applied Science and Technology in Tehran, earning a Professional Associate Degree in Animation in 2015.He co-founded D3canvas Studioin Armenia, where he traces family roots to Yerevan.His commercial work spans luxury-product CGI, automotive campaigns and industrial communication, with commissions for clients including Casio G-SHOCK, CITIZEN, Suzuki and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines.
For CITIZEN's Series 8 GMT Blue campaign he built a custom multi-layer shader in Cinema 4D and Octane to reproduce the watch dial's shell-like surface, which reflects differently depending on the angle of light and camera.On Casio G-SHOCK's GA-V01 Animation, a character-driven campaign produced with Marumedia LLC in Japan in 2024-2025, he served as CG supervisor and animation supervisor leading a seven-person team.
He has directed two independent CGI short films: NOMAD in 2022 and Imperfect Abortion in 2025.Imperfect Abortion was built through sound-led visual improvisation around a score by Farnood Pouransari, known professionally as FARNOODEX, exploring themes of artificial intelligence, creation, control and fear. It received four festival selections across the 2025-2026 cycle, including “INDIE FILM LA” in Los Angeles and the “Royale Film Festival”.
Since 2021 he has also released generative art on Tezos through OBJKT, including the Generative Blocks and Generative Noise Patterns collections, and has sold NFT editions on platforms including Foundation, MakersPlace and SuperRare.,In 2023 he collaborated with the artist SABET on The Fire Within, released through the IGNITION project on Manifold.
