Gabriel Böing, known as KÖI, is a Brazilian multidisciplinary artist based in São Paulo, working across generative art, 3D composition, experimental film, live visuals and immersive installation. His work translates waking and dreaming sensations into layered, evolving narratives that explore the intersection of dreams, technology and collective consciousness, often engaging with cyber shamanism.
KÖI co-founded the Brazilian DAO S.E.E.D. and has curated events including “Chapter 1: Parallel Biome Hypothesis” in 2023 and “S.E.E.D. x NEWTRO” in Buenos Aires in 2025.His work has been shown at Times Square in New York, the Pavilhão da Bienal in São Paulo, and in Berlin, London, Montreal and Rio de Janeiro,including the exhibitions “Refraction Festival” (ZeroSpace, New York, 2022), “To Spawn a Door In the Land of Broken Mirrors” (New Art City and Mock Jungle, Bologna, 2022), “RefractionDAO x Proof Of People” (ZeroSpace, New York, 2023) and “exe.hail” (Candid Arts Gallery, London, 2025).He has held residencies with S.E.E.D. in Belo Horizonte and São Paulo in 2024 and in Patagonia in 2025.
For his generative art he also works under the alt project The Experimental Lobby, under which he released the 2022 collection White Stripes, pairing an exploration of line, capacity and possibility with sound from his music project Nagual555.As Nagual555, he creates dreamlike soundscapes with an urban twist,and under that name he released the audiovisual project Etimologia, combining his sound work with visuals credited to Gabriel koi, made in early 2020.
