After graduating from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a degree in animation, Brinkman worked as a graphic artist and motion designer on television productions including Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.² He entered the NFT space in 2020,² releasing his debut edition series The Cloudy Collection on NiftyGateway that October⁴ alongside one-of-one animations on SuperRare including Explode, Revolution, and Vortex.¹ That year he also released Frankfurt Candy Shoppe, a fictional storefront packaged as a bundle of NFTs and built inside the Cryptovoxels metaverse for Pranksy Land, a multi-artist collaboration that also included Coldie and Hackatao.⁵ In 2021 he released NimBuds on Art Blocks,⁶ a generative series later included in the 2025 Milestones exhibition surveying five years of on-chain generative art at Art Blocks' gallery in Marfa, Texas.⁶

Over the next two years Brinkman released three more edition series on NiftyGateway: The Sub-liminal Collection and Flicker Fusion in 2021, followed by CTRL and Tragic Pop in 2022.^7,8,9,10 In 2023 he presented his first solo exhibition, “Stored Memories”, with Unit London,¹¹ a group of short-form animations that each visualise a different failure of digital memory, including Memory Loss, Dead Man Walking, and De-fragmented.^11,12 Memory Loss was accompanied by a set of 50 hand-signed prints, each corresponding to a different frame of the animation.¹¹ In 2025 he created Love Bytes on an original Quantel Paintbox from the 1980s for the Paintboxed Tezos World Tour, focusing on brushwork and color mixing that recalled his earlier background-art work for animated television.¹³ He also began self-publishing code-based editions through his own BrinkWorks contract that year.¹⁴ In 2026 he released Azulejo Galo, a generative series of 250 works created for NFC Lisbon in which each mint forms the blueprint for a printable, foldable origami rooster inspired by Portugal's azulejo tiles.^15,16
