Aoife O'Dwyer is a self-taught Irish digital illustrator and NFT artist whose surreal, neon-pastel worlds imagine what might exist in the gaps of human perception.,She draws heavily on Irish mythology and language, often deriving work titles from Irish words and phonetic spellings.She is based in Limerick, Ireland.,
O'Dwyer built a career in digital design, including as a senior visual and UX/UI designer at the Dublin agency Each&Other, while continuing to make art alongside it.,,She was a founding member and primary designer of the online artist collective Bunny. In 2017 she curated and designed Bunny's magazine issue Fair Is Foul, on the history and reimagining of the witch, and launched it at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios in Dublin.In 2021 she entered the web3 space, drawn to NFTs as a mix of art, technology, and community.
In October 2021 she released The Foofees, 111 hand-drawn one-of-one profile-picture NFTs, each linked to one of five elements: earth, air, water, fire, and space. She describes the Foofees as creatures that “live in the gaps of human perception in an adjacent realm”.Her Aoife collection of one-of-one artworks on Ethereum includes Sahvolia, titled after the phonetic spelling of the Irish phrase sa bhaile, meaning "at home," and made for the 2023 Milan exhibition “Love is Louder”.,In February 2025 she contributed Freedom to Transform #333, an edition minted as Card 5 of Season 10 in the collaborative NFT project The Memes.That same month she released Reckoning on Bitcoin as an open, timed edition through the Gamma Prints launchpad.In 2026 she began The Unbearable Follies of Feeling, a daily animated GIF project drawn in Procreate and minted as one-of-one pieces on Ethereum, shared through GIPHY.Her work has also been shown at institutions including LUME Studios in New York and the Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam.
