Gorilla Sun, the alias of Ahmad Moussa, is a generative artist, creative coder, and writer who makes algorithmic artwork and publishes tutorials on the process behind it.He studied computer science through a bachelor's and a master's degree. He then worked briefly in machine learning research before turning to generative art.
Moussa started the Gorilla Sun Blog in January 2021to write tutorials and articles on creative coding, generative art, and computational design.In November 2021 he began minting generative art on FxHash, a platform built on the Tezos blockchain, and by May 2023 had released 16 projects there.
KRANKARTA has called him “a consistent inspiration for color combination through their mastery of composition and palette”.He has also been recognized for documenting his creative process in detail.A blog post of his on recursive circle packing later inspired r1b2's generative project Circle Of Life.When FxHash launched its 2.0 update, his color palettes and tutorials were highlighted alongside those of other participating artists.
