In the Brazilian backlands it was common for families to hire women to cry at the funeral. This was because the men were not supposed to show weakness. They were called "Carpideiras". They were not always paid in cash. Often the payment was made with family objects. I present my new creation: "Ascensão ao Choro de Carpideiras". Digital art inspired by Xylography.
